If perchance you found my blog by Googling research by German scientists in South Africa, I’m not sorry. You should stick around, anyway. Something fun might happen.
I am Africa Schaumann, a Michigander, now planting roots in Nashville, TN, where freezing rain is considered a “snowstorm” and apple cider doughnuts don’t exist. Also currently a student at Belmont University, studying Politics and Public Law. By day, I am a lover of breakfast (first and second), a taker of photographs, a writer of stories, a creator of music, a history geek, and a Ray Bradbury fangirl…and asleep by night.
What you will find here are my thoughts. I have a lot of them, and this blog is an attempt to wrangle them into something that just might make sense and perhaps provoke some thoughts of your own as you peruse mine. As I travel through life, I search for the harmony in discourse, the beauty in brokenness, and groove to the rhythm that moves me.
